A Tag Album ..
Hello Friends ,
Ever wondered what can be done with Toilet paper Roll when the tissue gets over ??
Penstands and vases are the ideas we usually get . I came across few pictures of Album made from TP roll .. And I had to try it ..
I wasted a few rolls before I got these straight though :) ..
Procedure :
First we need to flatten it . Now how ever we try to flatten , it get back to its bulgy shape .. So its tough .
Next I applied Gesso and coloured the edges with acrylic colours . I used Purple and Golden ..
Punched 2 holes at on edge of each TP Roll , I crimped it with eyelets . So this edge gets sealed..
(Sorry didn't take pic of that )
Next decorate as per your liking ..
Eaasy .. Peasy ... Right ???
Thanks for stopping by ...
Hugs

Give Thanks for Unknown Blessings
Hello Friends ,
Today I have a project to share . I had this very sturdy plain box with me for long. With Xmas coming up, I thought of decorating it .
I have decorated it with loads of PP , beads, ribbons, flowers .
The Theme I had in mind was Thanks Giving - We should always thank God for the Unknown blessings he showers on Us.
The birds view
The flap with the Bling
The Rear view
I cut all the PP according to size , distressed the edges and pasted over the box. Once over the edges were not looking so good . I then took the ribbon from my stash and went around the borders. It looked wow !!
Then I embellished it with Die cuts, the birdie chipboard , flowers and corner ornaments ..
The Birdie - Momma and Kiddie <3
The Inside was Lined using a lace . To add bling to it I added another layer of Bead hanging lace too. The pic is not so clear though. The base has a cardstock with " Give Thanks for Unknown Blessings " stamped and placed it inside the box base ..
I wanted to place a big button as opener . But as I went through my stash , found this cut little yellow ribbon floral bow kind and was sure I wanted this here :)
Materials used :
1.DCWV PP - Itsy Bitsy
2.Birde chip board - Itsy Bitsy
3. Rectangle Frame - Joy! Crafts - Cutting & Embossing Die - thecraftshop.in (Priya Shivraj)
4.Oval Die - Itsy Bitsy
5.Flowers , Beads and Ribbons from my stash
Happy Creating and Up-cycling !!
Love

Kids project - A Junkar
Hello Friends ,
Have you ever been on a Junkar . My son loves it . Being from Kerala he loves boats and Junkar as it can carry vehicles too .
I have today a project made by my son , helped by his Mumma :) Designed by Sreenivas. :)
He got this picture from a book and said , he wanted to make this. After racking my brains for one day , with inputs from his grandfather too :), We came up with this idea .. Yippee . He was too excited about it !!!
First of all we took 2 medicine bottles and covered it with Brown wrapping paper . He chose brown to depict Logs ..
The Side of the logs were given a Red colour . We cut 4 circles from Red chart paper .
Its to be seen in the dark too ..
Then we covered the icecream sticks with the same paper too . Made a sail with icecream sticks and PP and stuck all together like this below .. Yes Junkar does not have sail, It was his fancy to do so :)
A very simple and fun loving project :)
Yes he has kept few flowers from my stash and his fav car too ! :)
Hope you enjoyed this simple little Junkar by my little son .
Love,
Remya

Altered Pen stand
Hello friends ,
I have here today an altered pen stand . This Penstand was my sister's sendoff gift she received when she graduated from Agri University .. It was a simple wooden pen stand .
Now she loves my altered works so much that I decided to alter it and give it to her . So that she will can always cherish her college days and my work too :)
I first applied scrap papers on to the Wooden Pen stand . Then I gave a coat of Gesso on it .
I stuck all the little things I keep collecting - Buttons, Screws , Bottle caps , broken peices from toys. You can see flowers too . Those are handmade ..
I gave another coat of gesso all over the things stuck to give all a whitewashed look . Then I added peach acrylic colour all over to give it a lovely peachy look. I love peach colour , so does my Sister .
Here you can see paper clip attached to the pen stand. Now this can be used to keep important visiting card or paper pieces . A Multi utility stand .. Yes !!:)
Hope she loves it ..
Thanks for stopping by :)

A Journal Cover
Hello Friends ,
I have been wanting to give a new face to my Journalling book. Its not Art Journal , Its just a Book where I write down my ideas and the few thoughts of mine ..
I am at awe with the Mixed media . Don't you think its so eye catching with the loads of Layers , Inks , Embellishments and Mists . So I finally gave it a try . I know I needs Loads and Loads of practice.
I started by Giving a make over to my Journal .
You can see the Layers of old cards in this view.
The Guitar is from a Keychain. Added alcohol ink over it. See how they gel into giving a great texture. The Background is also crackled using the Distress crackle ..
The Pen stand is also complimenting it Right ?? . Yes , It too is altered . :)

I covered it first with Tissue paper. Added layers with Old Greeting cards . Embellishments used are old Key chains hangings . The Monogram " A" stands for ART .. :)
I have worked on the Alphabet too. Coloured it with Red and added TH Distress Crackle over it ..
It looked yumm..

Tool Cabinet ..
Hi Friends ,
We all have loads of crafting tools .. Some are quite sharp . With Kids around there is always a danger of hurting/ cutting themselves with the sharp tools.
So I usually keep them in a Box ..
