For long I have been wanting to do quilling on a handmade background and not on a plain paper ...
I came upon an old book of mine which had this picture of a house in it.. So I thought of using it as my background.. I took a corrugated board , distressed it using Black soot.. I stuck the picture on it .. I had a frame / mesh like structure made from sticks with me for long.. I used it to embellish the layout .. Finally my Quilled white flowers and lovely green leaves were arranged on it ..
I have stamped a picture of a bird in a cage in a corner too !!!!
