Hello Friends ,
This one is for my dear little son .. His Summer vacation was fun , he remembers it a lot. Beaches, gardening , digging with his baby spade .. and many more . He used to be back home with grass stains on knees and sand between toe... :)
I started with a white card stock.. Layered it with patterned paper from "Papermaniac". Distressed it with aged mahogany.. Stamped clocks on the sides ..Stenciled the Hexagon shapes using artist stencil from Prima with textured paste.. Now for the fun part :) I love Tim Holtz works !! Who doesnt right :) .. Took spiced marmalde and crushed olive Distress stain on to the worksheet , sprinkled some water over it , ran the white cardstock over it. Once dried by heat setting it , distressed the sides using Vintage photo DI.. Stamped with Text stamps from BoBunny using Memento Tuxedo black.. The Green crakled effect was again from Tim Holtz technique . White Cardstock Distressed using Peeled paint ,Pine needle and broken china .. Crackled it using clear rock candy distress crackle .. Phew .. A one day work for me with my son around... :)
Once I layered these card peices , I went about embellishing .. I used his things :) The tape (again distressed with aged mahagony), Burlap strings, the black Tyre is from his army tanker and the jigsaw puzzle pieces (distressed used Vintage Photo ). To get the sand part , I applied Versa Watermark randomly around Tyre , burlap strings, and jigsaw puzzle.. I used the Distress Embossing Powder for the First time...Poured Distress Embossing Powder (Vintage Photo) over it , taped out the extra and heat set it ..I got the sandy, weathered look !! This will be seen in the many more projects to come ..
Made a tag by stamping " Noteworthy" on a piece of cardstock, distressed with Vintage photo.. Stuck a few buttons.. . and its ready :)
It brings a big smile on his face :) It makes my day !! I loved it
Hope it brought a smile on your face too !!
Hugs ,
Remya...
