Wild roses on Fence

Hello Friends ,

Back to blogging after a small break (ReLocation) ..  Relocation brings about lots of packaging stuffs.
I too had a small cardboard box with me which I gave it a new look  .. The place I am now has a lot of greenary around. Vines , Creepers , bushes, shrubs - all leaves and some with lots of flowers too . You can find bees hovering around them ....

I wanted to incorporate this wilderness on this box.. I created a Wooden Bark feel on the top of the Box .. If you ask me how .. The answer lies in a blog I religiously follow -rupastofa  by   Rupa S .
She has a detailed blog on how to create this Bark like texture . For the technique please visit her blog where she has elaborately explained it . Click here..

I followed her tutorial and made a bark on the top of the box.. I loved it so much that I didnt want to decorate and cover it up . Hence I made a creeper with Wild roses .. I wound masking tape on jewellery wire and added few  pips along while winding . . Once done , I placed it along with roses and few leaves .. It looked very pretty . Added texture by giving a tint of red to leaves and brushed tea dye distress ink  over the flowers for a rustic look ..

Hope you enjoyed this simple box of mine ..If you ask what I will store in it , well as am fond of quilling . I stored some Quilled flowers ..

Smells good !!

Happy crafting ..

Regards ,
Remya
