Hello Friends ,
I am sharing a Mixed Media Journal Page with you today.
For the base I stuck bits of Papericious paper randomly ( horizontally and vertically ) . Then gave a good coat of Gesso , next layer was Acrylic Color : Magenta . Once the colour dried up ,I used Deco art White Crackle paste.
Then I was stuck with how I should proceed, because I had this rusty metal chip with me . Where did I find it ?? Guess !! Yes .from a construction site where they were downloading metal rods that day .. I pick scraps from everywhere around.( It irritates my husband a lot though )..
I wanted to make this Rustic element as the focal image.
I picked up piece of corrugated cardboard . Coloured it with Burnt Sienna . This became the base on which the Rustic metal piece would sit .. Rest of the elements placed around accentuated the rustic look.Gave a wash of blue and brown around.
Call me Old Fashioned .But I love anything Rusty , Chipped , Weathered and Vintage ..
Its very true about me .. I journalled it below :)
Enjoyed thoroughly creating this page :)
Few Close ups of the page
Hope to see you guys soon in my next post ..
Love
