Snail Mail

Hello Friends,

To send via conventional postal system is very exciting as opposed to Electronic mail .. Written letters ,their envelopes , the smell of the papers( there are scented papers too ) , I used to Love them.
There are certain things of olden days which needs to be kept alive ..

Lessology came up with a Challenge : Snail Mail Revolution . The DT members have excellent Projects to inspire us with  ..

In my school days, during summer holidays, I used to write to my grandparents and my friends .. I love doddling around the corners of the envelope along with the address ..

Now for this challange , I had few envelopes(with cards in ) which came along flower bouquets for my birthday. I have used those envelopes for this challenge ..

Applied a coat of Gesso on it so that it can take the colouring and stamping without bloating to the other side.
Decoupaged a flower from a napkin on to the corner using Multi Medium Gel.

Distressed the edges with distress ink(Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, )

Stamped along the corners of the envelope using Fiskars Postal Stamp Set ..

I also stamped on the Back of the envelope as a seal ..

Pasted washi tape ( Postal and Floral Washi ) on the left corner of the envelope and the Back side of the envelope too ..

The Snail Mail looks like this !!!

I got carried away so much while dong this that I made 2 more ..

Thank you ..

Hugs

Remya

Artist Trading Card using Lindy's Magical ..

Hello Friends ,

Art Journalling fascinated me and I have been giving it a try for quiet some time ..

I bought Lindy's Magical Mica powder to try how its gonna work. I love to experiment  .. I spend loads of time reading Blogs and watching YouTube channels . I guess we all do that :)

I wasn't sure how the end result will be , so I didn't capture the steps I used to make . But I can write about it .

Take a White card stock . Apply texture paste through any stencil on to it . Spritz water on the card stock .. Flick some magical powder on it using a flat brush . Spritz water again to activate the powder . Let it dry ..

I then cut the card stock to the size of ATC .  Stamped on the edges using BoBunny stamp set . Applied Texture paste through Stencil again .. I then cut a heart using TH heart die , embossed it using Lindy's terracotta embossing powder . Made it as my Focal  point and added a sentiment" Curious"  and my one ATC is ready ..

For the Next ATC piece , Stamped on the edges using honeycomb stamp . Applied Texture paste through Stencil again .. I then added a flower I bought from ItsyBitsy and Made it as my Focal  point. I attached 2 washi tapes and above it pasted the sentiment " Grow" . Few pearl dots around and my second ATC is ready ..

Thanks for stopping by .

Hugs
