Travel Mate

Hello Friends,

When we travel we do reflect on our life and many things which we go through .. I carry a few sheets of paper and some pens whenever I travel .. I keep it inside the pages of a Novel I carry along . But this time I felt it needs a small case where I can keep everything .

Hence I have recycled a box. ( I do not have the picture of it before the make over as I was not sure how it wouldturn out ) .

With the onset of Online shopping we end up with loads of cardboard boxes .. Usually its proper box shape with varying size .. This time when I ordered a book online , it came in a box which made me feel it could convert to a Box Case (something kind of luggage Suitcase) ..
I am planning to keep a Diary or few sheets of Paper in it , so that I can take it with me in  my Travel and write down my reflections..

I decorated it with a Bird Chipboard . Heat Embossed it with Lindy's - Terra cotta Rust , Ranger's - Buttercup & Fern Green . Surrounded it with few flowers and 2 Red Pollens . These Pollens remind me of Lollipops :) Doesnt it ???

So happy with the outcome that am eager to travel again , so that I can flaunt my Travel Mate ..

I had the opportunity to see Vlogs of  Ms. Martha .. I was inspired by her Art Journal books .. One thing I loved was , she didnt go for any fancy books for her Art Journal .. She had bought old novel books and converted it into Art jounal ..

Why not I try it .. Art Journal is never tough ..  For that matter , Nothing is tough !!

A very Simple Page .. I love my pages to be very Simple.. I have this empty Space on Left . I had left it on purpose so that I can try writing something :)

A Gift Box

Hello Friends ,

Am ready with my second post for this New Year .. I love to spent time watching all the lovely creations in this crafty world, be it pinterest, blogs, facebook pages... If you ask whether I create something inspired from them , well not much ..

So this year I decided that I will create .. Create , Create and Create .. :) I love this slogan  !!

Am not much of a Die craze girl , if you ask me.. But I was awe struck with the creations of Ms. Rajni Chawla. Her cards are worth drooling over .. I always used to love her choice of Dies and the way she uses it .. So I went and bought 2 sets of Spellbinder dies .. Now I wanted to try something, but not a card ...I loved a box made by Ms.Becca.   It was simple , yet elegant ..

I fell in love with that box , and made one for myself ...


We can keep cards or small gifts or even a small cute notepad ..

I havent finished admiring this , so not yet decided what to keep in it ..

My Trials with ATC ...

Happy New year to all my Crafty Friends !!

New Year ..New Beginnings...

Yes . This year I will try to make all those things which I wanted to but procrastinated due to my shear laziness :)

ATC had always captured my attention when ever its mentioned in Craft world ..I gave it a try .. what do I make with .. I didnt feel like wasting my good papers for trials .. I then found a lot of packaging materials near me.. These were from all the crafty goodies packing materials . I cut them in a small square 3x3 cm .. I am not very sure the size of an ATC card.. Still size can be cut accordingly, we have to try it right ??

So I first cut the corrugated cardboard in 3 x 3 cm . I peeled out the upper layer. I wanted to let certain portions be upper layer intact, but this one being small, the layer came out fully .

Next I gave a coat of Gesso to it . I had lot of options either acylic or water colour or something I havent used at all .. I tried my hand with Alcohol ink .. I wanted to stick with only 2 colours - Yellow and Green ... Once I was happy with the outcome , I went forwards with arranging the flowers , tags and twines .. And here we have an ATC ..

I loved the way it turned out ..

One learning was the ATC sizes being small we need small embellishments be it Flowers or Beads or Pictures or what ever we want to place on it ..
